The August after meeting ride was led by Skip Nickens. After sweeping many rides, helping in many other capacities, and leading this ride for the Road Captains, this was the final test for Skip to get his orange braid and become a Road Captain for Pikes Peak #405. Congratulations Skip!!
The ride had 27 bikes with 36 total riders. What a great turn out. Heading to Wide Open Saloon in Sedalia, Colorado, the ride was only about 40 miles but with our typical route, the scenic route, it took about 2 hours to reach this lunch destination. Everyone enjoyed the ride and always have a good time riding with friends.
Wide Open Saloon was first located in at 58th &I-25 in Denver, business was so good they outgrew the space. Relocated in Sedalia, it is known to welcome bikers as a destination venue. They have “crazy good live music, killer food, and an epic rooftop lounge”.
