Group Riding Tip – Fill Forward. When riding in a group and a rider leaves the group during the ride we fill forward. Do not cross over to fill the gap in front of the other riders. Crossing over to fill in can create confusion and a potential hazard. The rider in front of you to your right or left, depending on what line you are in, should wave you forward when it is safe to do so. On that signal, maintain your line of travel to pass the rider ahead of you and “fill forward”! Be sure and ask questions and listen to your Road Captain during the pre-ride briefing.
