Steve Smith led a small group on the Short Aspen Ride on September 23. The weather was looking a little sketchy and it was a little chilly so only a few brave souls turned up: Chris and Misty Rigdon, Josh Ragan, Jim Beaver and Paul and Carri Gambill braved the gray skies and followed Steve west through Tarryall and on to Pine. A last minute change of venue for lunch took us through some gorgeous riverside scenery and we stopped for lunch at BuckSnort.
BuckSnort restaurant is an interesting little place with a deck overlooking the river. The food was outstanding and the ambience unique! We returned to the Springs by coming back through Deckers and getting on 24. There were many laughs and the rain only came in small amounts for short periods of time so I highly recommend this ride for next year if you missed it this year.
